Pimcore provides an efficient way – by using it’s object-features – for multi-user and multi-domain master data management, integrating and enriching data from various (legacy) sources like ERP systems and 3rd party webservices. At the core pimcore creates and manages the domain specific master index by utilizing the base content management functionalities of pimcore, like object and class management, versioning and asset management.
Pimcore and additional applications like Pentaho Kettle or Talend Studio successfully provide open-source processes for collecting, aggregating, matching, consolidating, quality-assuring, persisting and distributing enterprise data throughout an organization to ensure consistency and control in the ongoing maintenance and application use of this information.
